Connect: Ghost

We publish your articles as native Ghost posts, in your theme, and keep them up to date. Nothing to install: you create a key in Ghost and paste it into your dashboard.

What you get

  • New articles appear as published Ghost posts moments after you publish them in Blogs for SEO.
  • Edits update the same post; unpublished articles go back to drafts.
  • Title, address, excerpt, feature image, tags, meta title and description, and canonical address are filled in.
  • Each post carries its structured data (article, FAQs and breadcrumbs) in its code injection.
  • Every hour we check for anything missed, and fix it.

Connect

  1. In Ghost Admin, go to Settings → Integrations → Add custom integration, and name it "Blogs for SEO".
  2. Copy the Admin API key (not the Content API key) and the API URL.
  3. In your Blogs for SEO dashboard, open Connect your website → Ghost, paste both, and press Connect.

We check the key with Ghost before saving it, then import your published articles. The key is stored encrypted.

Make your blog visible

The posts are on your site; give visitors a way to find them: in Ghost Admin, open Settings → Site → Navigation → Customize, add an item linking to your blog's page, then Save.

Good to know

  • Post addresses: we use Ghost's own address for each post (your-site.com/post-name/), so canonicals and sitemaps match.
  • Changing a post's address: Ghost doesn't redirect the old address by itself. If an article's address changes after it went live, add a redirect in Settings → Labs → Redirects.
  • Structured data: Ghost adds its own article data too. Search engines handle both; ours adds the FAQs and breadcrumbs.
  • llms.txt and IndexNow: Ghost can't serve these files, so we skip IndexNow for Ghost sites. Ghost's own sitemap lists your posts for Google and Bing.
  • Disconnecting: press Disconnect in your dashboard, and delete the integration in Ghost if you like. Posts already on your site stay.

Stuck? We can set it up for you.
